Terms of Service
FLHD provides architectural design, planning, consulting, and construction-related services. All services are subject to availability, scheduling, and project approval. Descriptions on the site are for general informational purposes and do not constitute binding offers unless confirmed in writing.
Our Terms of Service outlines our client agreement, setting clear guidelines for deliverables, payments, and intellectual property rights. This protects both parties and prevents misunderstandings in creative projects.
Service Scope
Project Terms
Every project begins with a signed proposal outlining the full scope of work. A deposit—typically 20% to 30% of the total cost—is required before work begins, based on the size and complexity of the project. Payments continue according to agreed-upon milestones, with the final balance due upon completion. Any changes to the original scope must be approved in writing and may affect cost or timeline. Clients are expected to respond promptly, provide site access, and avoid delays—extended hold-ups may result in additional fees. FLHD coordinates all permits, but clients are responsible for permit fees unless otherwise stated. Our work is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty; product warranties are provided by manufacturers. Clients are responsible for maintaining a safe, accessible job site. If unexpected conditions arise—such as unmarked utilities, hazardous materials, or soil instability—additional work and cost may be required. All designs and plans remain FLHD property until payment is made in full. Disputes are resolved via mediation or arbitration in Sacramento County under California law.
Intellectual Property
All project-related materials—designs, renderings, construction documents, floor plans, brand assets, and creative content—are the exclusive intellectual property of FLHD unless rights are explicitly released in writing. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited until the client has paid in full and received written permission.
